Ellijay Coffeehouse Book Club

Our book club is part literary, part social & part therapy. We gather the last Tuesday of every month at 6 PM for a little social…bring a bottle of wine, grab a cup of coffee and have a delicious panini or pastry from the Coffeehouse. We begin our book discussion at 6:30 and typically are finished by 8.
Here is a list of our upcoming books!
The Spoken Word
Join us in the lounge where we, along with our local Street Poet Giovanni Cerro explore ‘The Spoken Word’ where words are written but performed for an audience. It relies on a heavy use of rhythm, improvisation, rhymes, word play, and slang. … Some examples of spoken word you might be familiar with are stories, poems, monologues and even stand-up comedy. Bring a bottle of wine ($5 corking fee) or grab a cup of coffee and have a delicious panini or pastry from the Coffeehouse and join us as we explore the creativity of words.
“Music gives a soul to the Universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything”
“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything”
Join us for An Afternoon of Original Music with Mike Bellotti… a musician whose ‘forward looking roots’ are flavored with a little ‘backward facing rock’. You might hear echoes of John Prine, America, Gordon Lightfoot, or even Tom Petty in his style and lyrics. His songs reflect moments in our everyday lives … some are portraits, some are stories … some share the feelings of quiet moments … some share the excitement of the open road. Grab some lunch or a cup of coffee (or BYOB-$5 corking charge) and join us in the lounge for some acoustic troubadour genre.
